My story starts I'm in the 7th grade at Middle School. I got my schedule for my classes and saw I had Pre Algebra. I said to myself “Oh great I'm so going to fail!” So first day of school I'm sitting in class thinking to myself I need to find some place that will give me help that my parents can afford and I don't have to drive like an hour away from home. So I started looking for some place that would tutor me right from home. I looked for about 2 months and finally just gave up.

Well, after about another 3 weeks my Pre Algebra teacher Mr. W. (one of the best teachers ever) said we were going to go listen to the writer of Math Doesn't Suck . When we went to go hear her speak she kept promoting Tutor.com for tutoring and I thought to myself there we go something I can use right from home. So I went home and talked it out with parents and they said that it would be good for me and easy to use! So that's how I found out that tutor.com does really work because now I'm passing Pre Algebra with 105.7% and it feels so good!

One day as I sat trying to do my homework I became frustrated and almost went berserk. I tried finding a website that could help me But I found nothing, nothing that I could see.

Soon I found a site called Tutor.com I met with a tutor and I became calm. All my troubles in school soon melted away I could meet with a tutor any time, any day.

My tutors were always so helpful and fun I knew were to turn to get all my work done. Now I have more free time to play And my homework doesn't get in my way.

The moral of the story is when you have trouble Go to tutor.com and go on the double It is worth it, trust me you'll see Tutor.com can help you just as it helps me!

Tutor.com is an awesome 24/7 helpline that can help you have a strong foundation of different subjects.

When I was struggling in one of my classes, tutor.com really came through. The tutors are very helpful with each category of the different subjects. Every time I needed help, the tutors didn’t just tell me what to do, they let me start solving the problem. Then when I got to a roadblock they would give me hints on different ways to solve the problem. That helped me more than just saying do this or do that.

A big help to me was being able to have instant tutoring when I needed it. Sometimes due to work or school activities it would be late when I started homework. When I didn’t understand something from a class, I would always ask tutor.com for a little extra help and that is exactly what I got. I would go in the next day with a lot better understanding of the material.

Once I needed an outside source to proof read an English paper I wrote. I logged on and asked one of the tutors to proof read it and give advice on how things should be improved. When I got it back I saw that many things I had written were not correct. The critique from that paper helped me to get an A on that paper and helped me out with other papers I had to write. I now use the different punctuation marks and different choices of words to make my stories sound more interesting.

For juniors and seniors tutor.com is a great way to get help and proofreading on scholarship essays. I would run my essays past the tutors for a last minute set of eyes before I submitted them. That helped as they caught a few things no one else had. Plus it proved time well spent as I have received five scholarships as of today.

My mom signed me up for tutor.com about a year or so ago when she saw an ad for it. At first I was a reluctant kid; you know, "too cool for school!" Then I went on tutor.com when I had a problem understanding a math problem that we had been assigned for homework. I didn't even remember where to start! After I logged on to tutor.com, a very friendly lady walked me through my equation one step at a time. I got it!

Shortly after that, my mom suggested to me that I might use tutor.com to help study for the math portion of my SAT test. I thought "why not?" So I got a copy of an old SAT test and logged on to tutor.com and went through some math problems that I either hadn't been faced with before or had forgotten how to do. I did this a few times before the SAT test.

When I finally took the math portion of my SAT test, I was surprised at how tutor.com (and me!)had helped prepare me! Some of the algebraic problems that I wouldn't have had a clue how to do before I was able to tackle. Still others came more easily to me because I had reviewed them previously on tutor.com. My mom thought I probably raised my math portion of the SAT about 100 points!

And, as always, my mom was right. When I got my scores I was really surprised. I had done better on the math part than I thought I would.

I have been offered several merit scholarships at colleges based on my SAT scores and of course, my high school grades.

I ended up retaking that class. When people tried to help me in math, I couldn't understand them. Soon afterwards, I picked up my free 25 minute tutor.com card and started to use. They took me step by step in my math problems. I started to understand much better. My test grades in math were 80's and 90's. I would recommend tutor.com to everyone. Tutor.com has been an incredible help to me in my schoolwork. It was the biggest thing that I relied on. It completely got me through my math and science class. Because of the incredible tutors, I passed through the year with a breeze. The tutors were an extreme help, and were very nice and willing to help. No matter how hard the work, they always did their best. And their "best" was beyond great. Since my classes were pretty tough, I needed to get ahead. Just wanted to say thank you to tutor.com and Susan E. for rescuing my son's graduation from Grade 12.
